RURAL AND SAFETY-NET PROGRAMS

The unique challenges of delivering medical services in rural areas and within urban safety net organizations can lead to an amplified sense of burnout among clinicians working in these settings. The reality of practice often means that the resources needed to treat patients quickly, and at the desired level of care, are simply not available. These medical professionals often have less access to support for both treating their patients and maintaining their own well-being.

In a small community, clinicians know everyone and everyone knows them – often leading to a sense that they are never ‘off the clock.’ Compared to their colleagues in bigger organizations, both the clinicians and their families often express a sense of isolation.

Lumunos has created engagements with hospitals and other funders who have a specific interest in addressing the well-being of this population. We tailor the design and delivery of our programs to meet the unique challenges these clinicians face.
